THE PROJECT

The Tè Power Project (the Project) is a 50 MW greenfield power plant under construction in Conakry, Republic of Guinea, by Tè Power Company (TPC), a special purpose company incorporated in Guinea. TPC is sponsored by Endeavor Energy as the lead developer and majority owner, and Energie, Environnement et Mines S.A. (E2M), a Mauritanian mining and power company. The Project executed debt financing agreements with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and CDC Group PLC in November 2017 and reached Financial Close/start of construction in March 2018. It will be the first international DFI project-financed independent power project (IPP) in Guinea.

Project Tè will be fueled by Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) and deliver 50 MW of reliable, baseload electric power to Guinea’s power deficient market by mid-2019. The Project is being built in accordance with international best practices and will be the first IPP in Guinea to meet the most stringent local and international environmental requirements.
