WE CARE

TÈ Power Company is partnering with Environmental Resources Management (ERM) and INSUCO to develop and implement a targeted Social Investment Plan (SIP) based on extensive stakeholder consultations and clear identification of local community needs. The objective is to implement a plan which:

  • Contributes to managing identified social impacts of the Project.
  • Brings tangible sustainable benefits to the host communities.
  • Contributes to broader socio-economic development in Guinea.

The SIP will be implemented during the construction phase of the Project and throughout operations. Programs currently under consideration include funding community investment projects, improving surrounding infrastructure to ensure safe access to the local market, providing support to local entrepreneurs in developing their businesses, supporting local health departments and civil society to implement a hygiene awareness-raising campaign, and investing in education facilities/programs for the area.
